AutoCons Volume 1: The Iconfactory Parking Lot by Corey Marion
Over the years we have had many requests for car icons. Just before Dave Brasgalla joined us here at the Iconfactory he was smitten and inspired to do a small set of icons of the Volkswagen New Beetle. This in turn smote and inspired me to try an icon of said revolutionary auto so I created one from the head-on view. I continued and created one of the rear as well. I liked it! I then proceeded to do the only logical thing I could think of. I created icons of the Iconfactory staff’s vehicles and significant others. I then threw in an old blue 1970 Beetle just like Corey’s first car.
All of us at The Iconfactory would like to give a big thanks to Apple Computer for restoring our faith that Apple can crank out kick-butt advertising! We can’t remember a time when we were so excited just to catch a fleeting glimpse of a commercial. We always knew PowerPC’s were better than their Intel counterparts, and now the whole world knows too. Bravo Apple!
